  • 3rd   REAAA Business Forum was held in Tokyo, Japan on 1st November 2016

  • About the 3rd Business Forum :
    • At the previous Governing Council Meeting in Tokyo, Japan, there had been an increasing support for the 3rd REAAA’s Business Forum from country members. This can be seen by the number of delegates attending 3rd REAAA’s BF which was held in Tokyo, Ariake, on 1st November 2016, hosted by the Japan Road Association, and supported by the Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism (MLIT). There were about 200 delegates participating in half day event, including the field visit to Japan Highway Techno Fair 2016.
    • There were about 200 delegates participating in half day event, including the field visit to Japan Highway Techno Fair 2016.
    • Seven presentations under the theme of “New Technologies on Road Construction” were presented: 

      1. “History and Pavement Technology of the porous asphalt mixture”
      2. “Application of New Steel Technologies to Bridge Construction in Urban Areas”
      3. “Development and Construction of High-Durable Bridge”
      4. “New Technology of Maintenance for Expressway”
      5. “Utilization of Big Data for Road Planning and Management in Japan”
      6. “Global Latest Developments of Road User Charging”
      7. “Traffic Management System”
    • Many delegates have expressed their positive comments regarding the Forum and they were requesting the presentation materials and the presenters’ contact to be made available for future correspondence. There have been lots of interactions ever since which can potentially be end in business arrangements between business entities.
